WOMAN IN BLACK – James Watkins
In life, we have many different types of discussions. On the topic of Films, many different subjects come up. Things like why did they have to make a sequel to that?, Is the original better than the remake? and Best (fill in genre) Film of all time? Well, one subject that always seems to come up is, Hollywood doesn’t make good Horror films anymore.
RAMPART – Oren Moverman
This is a film that goes back to the hardcore cop films of the 80′s and mostly 90′s. It is raw, hard-core, and very violent. The story takes place in 1999, when the Rampart Division was under major criticism. Woody Harrelson plays David “Date Rape” Brown, an old school, racists, violent, womanizing veteran officer who defends himself against his actions as a tough officer of the law.
THE DARK TOWER: THE WAY STATION – Stephen King
Every writer has one book that is concidered their Masterpiece, for Stephen King fans, its hard to chose, but in the end they will all pick the same; The Dark Tower series. The Dark Tower was first written in the 70′s with many books to follow in the 80′, 90′s, 00′s, and as of recently the latest edition; The wind through the keyhole, has been released and takes place between books 4 and 5.
The new Roar Uthaug film: ESCAPE
Following all the good feedbacks gathered by Cold Prey and after a fantasy digression beside his wife, norwegian director Roar Uthaug gets back to the origin shooting Escape. Watching trailer and various images it seems a jump into the hyperkinetic medieval times, recently watched thanks to Neil Marshall‘s Centurion. Following amazing movies as Gone Baby Gone or The Town, Ben Affleck gets back the camera again and shoots a drama-thriller: Argo. Based on true events, Argo is about a six american soldiers in Iran rescue mission, through a dramatic scheme, invisible to the world outside. Argo will be released on theatre on October 12th.

Every artist that ever lived has a piece of their work that doesn’t just prove how talented they are, but in some cases stands the test of time. Some of those artists have one thing that is considered their “Masterpiece” or “Swan Song”. When it comes to the Master Storyteller, Stephen King, it’s quite debatable.
ROAD RAGE – Stephen King & Joe Hill
This comic is written by Stephen King and his son, Joe Hill, and is “inspired by” the 1970′s film, Duel, which in that film was about a truck chasing a salesman on the empty desert highways. In this story, King & Hill introduce us to The Tribe, a very scary and hardcore biker gang that you do not want to mess with! The story is basically about the gang and a drug deal gone wrong.
