Captain America: civil war is the third film in the Captain America franchise, and the 13th film in the MARVEL Universe. The story of Captain America: civil war takes place one year after the events of The Avengers: Age of Ultron. The film begins with a flashback to 1991, in Siberia, where Hydra has brainwashed Bucky Barnes(Captain America’s childhood buddy who was in the last two films), and turns him into the Winter Soldier.
Stephen King’s short story, One for the road, was originally published in the March/April of Maine Magazine in 1977. In 1978’s short story collection, Night shift. The story is a “sequel” to the King classic novel, Salem’s Lot.
Jacob Norlin was born in Manitowoc, WI, son to Paul and Edie Norlin. Jacob came from an entertainment background for his parents were in that field. His father, Paul, a professor of music education and Edie an educator, actor, and theatrical director. Jacob moved to Newark, Ohio and graduated from Newark High School. He continued his education at Ohio State University graduating in 2011 with a Bachelors in Film Studies. Jacob is a screenwriter as well as director and is continuing his filmmaking career to date.
When we think about some of our favorite actors, such as Robert De Niro, Brad Pitt, Harrison Ford, and Al Pacino…we think about their films, their amazing acting abilities, and memorable lines from those works. All these actors had to start somewhere. Their fame wasn’t handed to them overnight. They all had to learn the craft of acting, and struggle for their first real break. But before all that, they had to have one simple thing: a dream.
The story begins many months after the events of the 2013 film, Man of Steel. After his battle of chaos and destruction against General Zod, Superman is being viewed by the public a little differently, not just as a hero, but many are questioning why he’s even here, and what are his true intentions? During that battle, Superman’s destruction of buildings, and the city of Metropolis caused many casualties, and even death.
The film begins with a young woman, Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), who has decided to leave her relationship. She packs her bags and goes. Later that night, on a dark and deserted Louisiana highway, Michelle’s car is hit, knocking her unconscious. She later awakens in an unfamiliar place, an underground bunker.
Becoming an actress didn’t come easy for Rutanya Alda. She didn’t come from the suburbs of middle America, and head to Hollywood to live out her big screen dreams. Instead she came from a very harsh and brutal enviornment, surrounded by war and despair. However, tough times and war would not last, and later, would come success and achievement.
I have read many autobiographies in my life. I’ve found them to be the answer to that question many of us may have: What REALLY goes on behind the scenes? Some bio’s play it safe and sugarcoat, while others go ALL out, and tell it like it is. In this case, actress Rutanya Alda, has done that very thing, gone all out, and tells it like it is.
