When it comes to certain genre’s of films, I am one tough customer. When I see a horror film, I want to be scared and not see the same old thing, Action films I want my ears to explode, and Romance films, well, if I can feel good by the end then it worked. Same goes for comedies, I don’t want to just chuckle, but to laugh my ass off. In this case of This is the end … I did!

This is the end is about real actors Seth Rogan, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson along with many other stars such as Emma Watson, Jason Segel, Paul Rudd and many more all playing themselves.

Everyone is getting together at James Franco’s house for one big homecoming party. The party is full of sex, drugs, alcohol, and everyone swapping Hollywood stories and just having a wild time. When Seth and Jay go to the corner store for some cigarettes, blue beams suddenly shine down and people begin to vanish and at the same time earthquakes, fires, and chaos occur because … the apocalyplse has come, the end of the world has arrived. The boys make their way back to Franco’s house, losing tons of their friends, and only the six guys have survived. They must ban together and learn how to survive during an apocalypse. Will the boys make it through the horror’s of hell now on earth? To find out I highly recommend This is the end.

I had heard from many sources that this was the funniest film of 2013, so I had to see for myself. At first I had doubts, but once I watched it, I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard at a film; it’s pure crazy chaos and to see these actors basically poke fun at themselves while trying to survive is just great entertainment. It does have some scary parts as well and gross-out humor, but it is worth your time  for sure!
